En Bici is a free iPhone app developed by MOOV TECHNOLOGY S PTE. LTD. It is a travel and navigation application that aims to promote sustainable mobility in the City of Mérida. With the Municipal Mobility Plan, the government has implemented strategies to improve the quality of life in the city.
The En Bici app allows users to easily find and rent En Bici bikes. Upon opening the app, users can locate the nearest En Bici bike on the map. To unlock the bike, they can either scan the QR code above the rear wheel smart lock or the QR code on the handlebar. Once unlocked, users can enjoy their trip on two wheels towards their destination.
Finishing a trip is simple, as users can park the bike at any En Bici Station and follow the instructions in the app to end their trip. To ensure the bike is properly locked, users need to manually block the lock and listen for a click. It is important to always lock the bikes inside an En Bici Station to avoid penalties.
